The story

I built this to bring real AI capability to the community I call home.

I grew up watching the internet change everything. The businesses that leaned in thrived. The ones that waited got left behind. AI is that moment again — and it's moving faster. I started Strand AI because I refuse to watch the small businesses in this community get swallowed up by that wave while the tools to ride it are sitting right there.

My background is in military program management — aviation sustainment, suitability, airspace operations, and defense systems. I spent years in environments where getting it wrong wasn't an option, managing complex programs with real stakes and real accountability. That discipline is exactly what AI implementation requires. It's not about the technology. It's about understanding the mission, building what actually supports it, and making sure the people doing the work can run it themselves.

On the defense side, I see a generational opportunity. The DoD is transforming — and program managers who understand both the operational environment and emerging AI capability are rare. I intend to be in that space, lending my expertise where it matters most.
